Tom Read Wilson is continuing his winning streak following his hugely popular stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and now he’s secured a brand-new role on ITV’s This Morning.

Just days after leaving the jungle as one of the standout stars of the series, Tom returned to daytime TV in style, joining the This Morning sofa as the programme’s newest agony uncle, offering heartfelt advice to viewers in the run-up to Christmas, one of the busiest and most emotionally charged times of year for many families.

Tom, who has long been adored by fans for his eloquence, emotional intelligence, and comedian-like warmth on Celebs Go Dating, surprised viewers when he reappeared on the show not just for an interview, but to begin an entirely new role. And if early online reactions are anything to go by, he’s set to become a firm favourite.

The opportunity came after his post-jungle interview with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who were quick to praise Tom for his calm, comforting presence on this year’s series of I’m A Celeb. Ben told him:
“One of the things I’ve loved, Tom, is that in the camp you became a go-to agony uncle for your campmates.”

Tom responded with his trademark warmth, explaining what he learned throughout his time in the Australian jungle:
“I think Shona taught me hugely… be vulnerable, because we all are vulnerable anywhere here. And particularly where Shona was concerned, I think we sort of followed one another’s spiky graph.”

Viewers saw Tom support several fellow contestants during emotional moments in camp, offering comfort, perspective, and the occasional perfectly timed humorous comment. Many fans said this made him not just entertaining, but deeply relatable.

Reflecting on his long-running role on Celebs Go Dating, Tom added:
“It is, I suppose, my role too. I try to be a shoulder and a bosom if I can. It was nice to occupy that space in the jungle.”

Producers at This Morning seemingly agreed, wasting no time in bringing his gentle wisdom to daytime TV, especially ahead of the festive season, when relationships, loneliness, and family tensions can spike.

Tom’s first appearance as agony uncle saw him answering viewers’ heartfelt dilemmas with his signature blend of kindness, humour, and sincerity. Social media reaction was overwhelmingly positive, with fans calling him “a perfect fit”, “a breath of fresh air”, and even “the best casting decision in years”.

His new role comes at a time of rejuvenation for This Morning, which has been steadily rebuilding stability and trust with viewers. Adding Tom, one of the most universally liked TV personalities of the moment, appears to be part of ITV’s strategy to restore warmth to the daytime favourite.

With his popularity riding high after the jungle, his naturally comforting persona, and his instinct for human connection, Tom Read Wilson looks set to become a major new addition to ITV’s on-air family. And if his early appearances are anything to go by, viewers will be welcoming him with open arms.
