TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET TEASES FANS OVER RUMOURS HE'S SECRET RAPPER ESDEEKID

Timothée Chalamet has finally spoken out about the bizarre and fast-growing rumour that he is secretly the artist behind UK alt-rapper EsDeeKid, and his cryptic answer has only intensified the mystery.

EsDeeKid, known for his breakout TikTok hit ‘LV Sandals’ featuring underground rappers Fakemink and Rico Ace, has become one of the most talked-about anonymous figures in the UK music scene. With his distinctive Scouse accent, balaclava-covered face, and elusive backstory, fans have spent months trying to unmask the rapper’s true identity. And now, thanks to Chalamet’s recent interview, speculation has reached an all-time high.

Despite being widely believed to be from Liverpool, EsDeeKid has remained purposely enigmatic. His anonymity, paired with the release of his album ‘Rebel’ earlier this year, has fuelled endless attempts from fans and TikTok detectives to uncover who is behind the project. While many theories have been wild, the idea that the rapper could be Timothée Chalamet has unexpectedly gained real traction.

The internet was quick to draw connections. TikTok users highlighted the actor’s long-documented love of hip-hop, dating back to his teenage persona “Lil Timmy Tim”, when he performed comedy rap at school. Some even compared extreme close-ups of EsDeeKid’s eyes to Chalamet’s, claiming an uncanny resemblance. Others pointed out a quirk that fans insist is a “clue”: both use a double ‘e’ in their names, Timothée and EsDeeKid.

During the new interview, Chalamet was confronted directly with the rumour, and instead of shutting it down, he delivered the most tantalising answer possible.

“I’ve got no comment on that,” he said with a smile.
He then paused, adding: “I’ve got two words on that.”

After drawing out the suspense, Chalamet leaned in and said:
“All will be revealed in due time.”

He then laughed, acknowledging: “That was a little more than two words.”

The quote immediately sent social media into meltdown, with fans interpreting it as everything from a confirmation to a playful misdirection. Hashtags such as #EsDeeKid and #TimotheeChalamet began trending within hours.

Music industry insiders remain sceptical, pointing out that EsDeeKid’s accent and lyrical references point strongly to someone raised in Liverpool. Others believe the accent could be a put-on, created specifically to distract from the artist’s real identity, a tactic not unheard of in the world of masked performers.

For now, both Chalamet and EsDeeKid remain silent on the truth. No official comment has been made from the rapper’s side, and the mystery only seems to deepen with each theory that emerges online.

Whether this is a case of clever marketing, internet conspiracy, or a genuine secret project from one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Chalamet’s tease has guaranteed one thing: the world will be watching closely for the next clue.

And if the actor’s promise holds true, all will be revealed.
