Ruby Wax has officially become the fifth campmate to leave I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and her sudden departure last night left both the camp and viewers at home stunned. The comedian, broadcaster and mental health advocate had been one of the most entertaining and unpredictable personalities in the jungle this year, forming close bonds and bringing her signature humour to even the toughest trials.
As her name was called, the seven remaining celebrities struggled to hold back tears. Ruby, who had developed deep friendships in the camp, bid an emotional farewell before making her way across the famous bridge.
Speaking with hosts Ant and Dec following her exit, Ruby reflected warmly on her time in the jungle, describing her campmates as “family” and admitting she felt “sad” to leave them behind.

“I can't believe it. It was fantasy land, suddenly there's a light. We were just a cluster of loving people,” she said.
“Totally forgot the outside world, we shaved each other, investigated each other's lower regions. I was checking Lisa's bowels this morning, doesn't get any closer.”
It was a typically candid and hilarious reflection, exactly the kind of unfiltered honesty that made Ruby such a standout contestant throughout the series. Despite signing up simply thinking “Let’s give this a go,” she admitted she never expected the emotional connection that formed in the jungle.
“This is family and I'm sad I lost them… I was the queen, ‘How can she be abducted?’”
The comedian also spoke fondly about her friendship with Aitch and Ginge, two unexpected allies who quickly became her jungle confidants.
“I don't know why I was drawn to them but we had so much in common. I knew I would be friends with them,” Ruby said, smiling as she remembered their unlikely bond.
She also offered warm words about Tom Read Wilson, who won her heart in his characteristic charming fashion.
“Tom Read Wilson was very romantic, he wooed me and won me.”
Ruby’s exit marks a turning point in the series as the jungle edges ever closer toward the final. Fans online have been vocal about their disappointment at her departure, with many calling her one of the most entertaining and heartfelt campmates of the season.
From her razor-sharp wit to her emotional vulnerability, Ruby Wax’s jungle journey has been filled with laughter, empathy, and some truly unforgettable moments. Whether she was navigating trials, comforting her campmates, or diving into surreal jungle tasks with absolute commitment, she brought a unique energy that resonated with viewers.

And while her time in the jungle may be over, her impact on the camp, and this year’s series, is far from forgotten.
