Robbie Williams has revealed he is seriously considering getting a wig as he opens up about his ongoing battle with hair loss. The former Take That star, who has never shied away from discussing his appearance or insecurities, made the candid confession during a recent appearance on the Games Gone: The Steve Bracknall Podcast, where he spoke with his usual blend of humour and honesty.

The 50-year-old singer explained that while he may appear to be sporting a stylish salt-and-pepper spiked hairstyle at the moment, the look is not quite what it seems. “I’m losing my hair… This is all powder and scaffolding now,” he said, joking that his current style is being held together by more tricks than people realise.

Robbie went on to reveal that he has been researching modern “hair systems”, admitting that he is seriously thinking about taking the plunge. “I’m thinking about getting one of them hair systems,” he said. “So I’m a pop star. That’s what I do for a living… you’re supposed to have some sort of looks and some sort of hair.”

He explained how the system works: “Have you seen the hair systems? You go to a guy and he sort of shaves it here, and then you get a wig that’s shaped for that bit. And then you get some glue. And then you glue it on and it stays on for a couple of weeks, but you have to get it fixed.”

The singer’s humorous take on the subject didn’t hide the fact that he’s clearly been thinking about it for a while. For someone who has been in the public eye for more than 30 years, Robbie has always been refreshingly open about his physical insecurities, whether it’s about his weight, his hairline or the pressures of fame.

His revelation comes just weeks after another candid admission, when he claimed he feared that the fat-loss injections he’d been taking were affecting his eyesight. Speaking to The Sun, Robbie said: “I was quite an early adopter of the jabs but what I’m also noticing is that my eyesight’s not very good.”

The remarks made headlines and sparked plenty of discussion among fans, many of whom praised him for his honesty about both ageing and the pressures of being a pop icon in an industry that often demands perfection.

Robbie Williams remains one of the UK’s most beloved entertainers, and his openness about hair loss, something many men face as they get older, has struck a chord with fans who appreciate his willingness to talk about topics others might avoid.

Whether he eventually opts for a hair system or embraces a new look entirely, one thing is certain: Robbie will handle it in his typical style, with humour, honesty, and probably a cheeky grin.
