Martin Kemp has officially left the Jungle after becoming the latest star to be evicted from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last night. After spending an impressive 20 days tackling camp life, challenges, creepy critters, and emotional ups and downs, the 62-year-old music icon joined Ant and Dec at the end of the iconic bridge and admitted the moment felt surreal.
“I have dreamt about this moment,” Kemp told the Geordie duo as he made his way out of camp. “It’s just a weird trip. I loved just sitting around and talking with the others. I said it a few times on there, I’m not one for making new friends and this is the first time I’ve done it in years and I absolutely loved it.”
Kemp, known for his cool and collected demeanour both on and off stage, revealed that he feels he’s completed everything he set out to do in the Jungle. “Coming out now, I feel like I’ve done everything I want to do, experienced it and I can walk out with some brilliant anecdotes,” he said. “I wasn’t one of those guys that was dancing and singing and stuff, I just brought a calm energy.”

Fans praised his chilled, grounded presence throughout the series, earning him the nickname “Jungle Dad” among viewers. His dry humour, thoughtful chats, and steady approach to each trial made him one of this year’s most relatable campmates.
One topic that was bound to be mentioned was the I’m A Celeb legacy running in the Kemp family. Martin’s son, broadcaster Roman Kemp, famously finished in third place during the 2019 series. When asked whether he felt competitive, Martin laughed and admitted he was actually relieved not to beat Roman’s placement.
“I’m glad I didn’t,” he smiled. “He’ll be happy about that!”
And Roman certainly was quick to react. Taking to X almost instantly, Roman posted a tongue-in-cheek message saying: “Oh noooo.” The banter continued, but he quickly added a heartfelt follow-up: “Love him and love that some of you have seen a snapshot of the man I aspire to be! We’ve had some great laughs on here. Tom for the win #ImACelebrity.”
The father-son relationship has always been tight, and viewers loved seeing moments where Martin reflected on Roman’s experience and how proud he was of him. The sweetness wasn’t lost on fans either, who flooded social media with messages praising both Kemps for being “absolute legends”.
Martin’s journey saw him push through Bushtucker Trials, embrace camp life, support his fellow celebrities, and share plenty of nostalgic stories from his music and acting career. In a year filled with strong personalities and big characters, his mellow presence provided balance, and his exit marks another emotional moment as the Jungle inches closer to crowning its 2024 King or Queen.
With the final approaching and the remaining campmates gearing up for even tougher trials, viewers are already missing Martin’s humour, warmth, and steady voice of reason. But if his calm energy was the heartbeat of camp life, his post-Jungle interviews are shaping up to be just as entertaining.
For now, Martin Kemp walks away with his head held high, new friends, unforgettable memories, and the love of millions who watched him every night.
