The Beckham family is once again under the spotlight as tensions between David and Victoria Beckham and their eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz continue to escalate, and now, friends of the actress are pointing fingers directly at the famous footballing couple.
According to a source close to Nicola, the young couple are "desperate" for support from Brooklyn’s parents, but claim it's being made "virtually impossible" by David and Victoria. The unnamed insider told press that Brooklyn and Nicola “want nothing more than to be loved and supported,” but insist that the Beckhams have become a barrier to that, stirring up old wounds in a long-standing feud that refuses to go away.
The rift reportedly stems from what one insider calls an "unhealthy" relationship between Brooklyn and Nicola, a description firmly rejected by those in Nicola’s corner, who say the couple’s commitment to each other is simply being misunderstood. The same insider accuses Nicola of “isolating” Brooklyn from his family and attempting to draw clear battle lines, claims that her friends vehemently deny.
Brooklyn, 25, appears unfazed by the speculation. In a pointed gesture that many have interpreted as a public declaration of loyalty, he posted a video on Instagram showing him riding a red motorbike with Nicola hugging him from behind. “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby,” he captioned the clip, words seen by some as a thinly veiled message to his parents.
A source close to David and Victoria said it was “disappointing but unsurprising” that Brooklyn might use social media to send a message. “They feel Nicola is creating conflict that isn’t there, or at least ramping it up, to isolate Brooklyn. Yes, Brooklyn is his own man, but it’s Nicola pulling the strings. It feels like she wants him to pick sides, and that’s exactly what’s happening.”
Fueling the concerns of the Beckham camp are Brooklyn’s more than 70 tattoos dedicated to his wife, including a replica of a heartfelt love letter from Nicola inked on his neck. It reads: “My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious… I want you to know how deeply loved you are… I hope I never go a day without your love.”
As the family feud continues to unfold publicly, fans are left wondering whether this high-profile family will ever reconcile, or whether the divide is now too deep to mend.
