The Damned Announce 50th Anniversary Show at Wembley Arena

The Damned are officially marking half a century of punk rock rebellion with an unmissable 50th anniversary show at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on Friday, April 11, 2026.

Formed in 1976, The Damned are widely credited as one of the first British punk bands to release a single and album, with their high-octane energy, gothic flair, and iconic frontmen carving out a unique legacy in rock history.

Now, as they gear up to celebrate 50 years of anarchy, melody, and mayhem, the band has promised a night to remember, with very special guests The Loveless featuring Marc Almond, Peter Hook & The Light (featuring music from Joy Division and New Order), and The Courettes, adding serious firepower to the evening’s lineup.

In a statement released alongside the announcement, the band reflected on their journey:

“Half a century on and who’d have thought The Damned would still be upright and breathing? We have shared some tragic losses along the way, but like a finely tuned engine, The Damned still has the power and finesse to excite, entertain and accelerate into our 50th year.”

From early punk chaos to evolving into goth, post-punk, and even psychedelic rock, The Damned have never stood still, and neither have their fans. Generations of listeners have been inspired by their refusal to conform, their theatrical live shows, and their enduring creative spirit.

This one-night-only Wembley gig is being billed as the ultimate celebration of their career, a tribute not just to their music, but to the fans who have supported them for five decades.

Tickets are expected to sell fast when they go on sale, and fans are being urged to book early to avoid disappointment.

🎟️ Tickets available from all major outlets and via The Damned’s official website from Friday, June 28 at 10am.

Whether you’ve been pogoing since the '70s or discovered them in your teens, this is a milestone in punk history that no fan should miss
