Irish pop-rock icons The Corrs are set to be honoured with the prestigious Legend Award at this year’s O2 Silver Clef Awards, recognising their enduring impact on the music world.
The family band, Andrea, Sharon, Caroline, and Jim Corr, will be celebrated alongside other high-profile winners including David Gilmour, Rick Astley, Soul II Soul, and IDLES at the star-studded event, which raises funds for the music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins.
In a heartfelt statement, the band expressed their gratitude: “Supporting Nordoff and Robbins in their work is something we deeply value. Music unites us as a family, and sharing our journey with fans around the world is truly special. We’re so happy to receive the Legend Award at the O2 Silver Clef Awards, and so grateful for this recognition.”
The Corrs have enjoyed phenomenal success over their career, selling more than 40 million albums worldwide. Their 1997 breakthrough record Talk On Corners became one of the UK’s best-selling albums of the decade, and their blend of Celtic folk and pop-rock has earned them a loyal global fanbase.
With multiple Platinum-selling records under their belt, the band’s accolades include BRIT Awards, Grammy nominations, and recognition from the Ivor Novello Awards. Now, with the Legend Award, they add yet another well-deserved honour to their legacy.
