Get ready to run through that tunnel of love, because the first trailer for the Bruce Springsteen biopic has finally been released, and it's already sending shockwaves through the internet.
Titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere”, the film stars Jeremy Allen White, best known for his award-winning role in The Bear, as the legendary rocker. And judging by the trailer, he’s gone full transformation mode to capture the gritty, soulful energy of The Boss.
From kitchen chaos to stadium rock
Fans of White will barely recognise him in the teaser, gone is the kitchen apron and anxiety of his character Carmy from The Bear, replaced by Springsteen’s iconic leather jacket, tousled hair, and unmistakable Jersey swagger.
The trailer takes viewers through Bruce’s formative years in Asbury Park, his early struggles to get noticed, and the emotional and creative highs that came with releasing albums like Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and The River. It’s a story of rebellion, artistry, and the American dream, told through one of rock’s most enduring voices.
And yes, the soundtrack features Springsteen’s original music, with White reportedly doing some of the live vocals himself. Talk about dedication.
A story fans have waited decades for
Directed by Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines), the film promises to explore not just the music, but the man behind it. From his complex relationship with his father to his battle with depression, Born to Run aims to show the full picture of a rock and roll icon who always sang from the heart.
Springsteen himself has given his blessing to the project and is said to have worked closely with the filmmakers to ensure it reflects his truth. He even sat down with White during pre-production, according to sources close to the film.
Born to Run: The Bruce Springsteen Story is set for release in UK cinemas this October, with a worldwide streaming debut to follow.
