Ted Lasso Star Nick Mohammed Set to Join Celebrity Traitors at the Castle

Nick Mohammed, best known for his scene-stealing role as Nate Shelley in Ted Lasso, is reportedly heading to Scotland to take part in the next star-studded series of Celebrity Traitors. The comedian and actor, who also performs as the eccentric stage character Mr Swallow, is said to be “excited” and “fully game” for the BBC reality show’s devious challenges and twists.

Sources close to the production claim that Nick has signed on for the new season and will soon be arriving at the now-iconic Ardross Castle, where the battle of trust and treachery will once again unfold. It marks his first foray into the world of reality TV, but according to insiders, he's more than ready.

“Nick is so excited about being cast in The Traitors and cannot wait to get to Ardross Castle,” said a source. “On Ted Lasso, his character Nathan was a really surprising villain, absolutely no one saw it coming. Nick is going to bring an element of that to The Traitors. He has his game plan, and he is going to really play the game. He is in it to win it.”

Fans of Ted Lasso will know just how brilliantly Mohammed handled Nate’s transformation from lovable kit man to calculated rival coach, and it seems he’ll be channeling some of that cunning energy for his time at the castle.

If the rumours are true, Nick won’t be the only big name bringing star power and strategic scheming to the table. Other celebrities reportedly lined up for the show include comedy legend Stephen Fry, presenter Kate Garraway, chat show host Alan Carr, Olympic diver Tom Daley, singer Paloma Faith, and former England rugby star Joe Marler.

The addition of such a diverse and high-profile cast suggests this series could be the most gripping yet. With alliances to forge, lies to untangle, and Faithfuls to weed out the Traitors among them, the psychological drama promises plenty of twists, and possibly a few explosive confrontations.

Production on Celebrity Traitors is expected to begin imminently in the Scottish Highlands, with the show likely returning to screens later this year. And if Nick Mohammed plays his cards anything like Nate the Great, he could very well prove to be the ultimate wildcard in this game of deceit.
