The much-anticipated line-up for the 20th series of Taskmaster has been revealed, and it’s shaping up to be one of the funniest yet.
As the BAFTA-winning Channel 4 hit gears up to mark its 10th anniversary later this year, fans can look forward to a brand-new batch of celebrities competing for the coveted Taskmaster trophy.
This time, five fresh faces will tackle Greg Davies’ absurd challenges: stand-up comedians Ania Magliano, Maisie Adam, and Phil Ellis will be joined by comedy heavyweight Reece Shearsmith and TV favourite Sanjeev Bhaskar.
Ania Magliano, known for her appearance on BBC’s Live At The Apollo, brings her sharp wit to the mix, while Maisie Adam, a regular on shows like Sky’s A League Of Their Own, is no stranger to panel show chaos. Phil Ellis, best known for his BBC Radio 4 series Phil Ellis Is Trying, completes the trio of stand-up comics.
Meanwhile, comedy legend Reece Shearsmith, who rose to fame with The League Of Gentlemen and Inside No. 9, and actor-writer-presenter Sanjeev Bhaskar, of Goodness Gracious Me and ITV’s Unforgotten, add some serious pedigree, and a touch of unpredictability, to the line-up.
The landmark series will air later in 2025, almost exactly 10 years after the show debuted in July 2015. Since then, Taskmaster has grown into a global phenomenon, broadcast in 120 countries and amassing nearly 900 million YouTube views thanks to its hilarious clips and classic moments.
Channel 4 bosses have yet to confirm an exact air date, but production is already underway, promising another round of hilarious tasks, outrageous antics, and plenty of laugh-out-loud surprises for viewers old and new.
