The 2025 TRIC Awards delivered glitz, glamour, and one of the night’s biggest surprises, as long-time favourites Ant and Dec failed to pick up a single award.
Held at the opulent Grosvenor House Hotel in London, the annual ceremony brought together the best of UK television and radio. Hosted by TRIC President Dan Walker, the event included a live performance by Lemar, but it was the results that had tongues wagging.
For the first time in recent memory, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, often regarded as unbeatable, were snubbed across three major categories: Entertainment, Game Show, and TV Personality of the Year.
Nominated for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! (Entertainment) and Limitless Win (Game Show), the duo lost out to Clarkson’s Farm and The 1% Club, respectively. Perhaps most notably, Bradley Walsh took home TV Personality of the Year, ousting the iconic presenting pair with his mix of humour, warmth, and broad appeal.

It marks a significant shift in public opinion, as the awards are voted for by UK audiences, reflecting a changing tide in viewer loyalty and entertainment tastes.

Elsewhere, Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden triumphed as Best Radio Show, while Jordan North picked up Best Radio Presenter, following his recent move to Capital.
Social Media Broadcaster of the Year was awarded to LadBaby, further cementing his unexpected but continued rise in online broadcasting.
Despite the upsets, Ant and Dec were all smiles at the event and congratulated the winners. With decades of success behind them, one off night is unlikely to shake their status as national treasures, but it does signal that even the most loved stars aren’t guaranteed wins.
As viewers’ habits evolve and new formats emerge, the 2025 TRIC Awards show that the British public remains refreshingly unpredictable when it comes to who they crown champions.
