THOMAS SKINNER FIRST TO BE VOTED OFF STRICTLY COME DANCING

Strictly Come Dancing has claimed its first celebrity casualty of the 2025 series, and it’s none other than The Apprentice favourite Thomas Skinner. The larger-than-life TV personality found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard and was eliminated after a dance-off against former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw.

Thomas and his professional partner Amy Dowden performed a high-energy Salsa to Dizzee Rascal’s Bonkers, but unfortunately, the routine didn’t quite land the way they’d hoped. Viewers took to social media in droves to share their reactions, with many admitting they were “traumatised” by the performance’s chaotic energy.

The judges’ scores from this week were combined with those from the first live show, where no public vote took place. The final results, blending judges’ scores and viewer votes, left Thomas and Amy facing Chris Robshaw and his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova in the dreaded dance-off.

Reprising their Salsa to Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal and Armand van Helden, Thomas gave it his all for a final time, while Chris and Nadiya performed their Viennese Waltz to Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

However, after three votes in favour of Chris and Nadiya, Thomas and Amy were the first couple to leave the competition.

Taking his elimination in typically upbeat style, Thomas said:

“I’ve loved it. I’ve never danced before and my stay was short, but Amy’s amazing. It’s been great fun and I’ve enjoyed it. I can’t really dance that well but I’ve had fun! Thank you, Amy, sorry that we haven’t done too good, ’cause you’re a different class.”

Amy Dowden, who made her return to Strictly after taking time off for health reasons last year, praised her celebrity partner, saying:

“I’ve got to know the real Tom, and he is adorable. He’s looked after me. We’ve laughed so much.”

Fans have praised Thomas for his positive attitude and infectious energy, despite the rocky start. One viewer posted on X (formerly Twitter), “He might not have the moves, but he’s got the spirit of Strictly, and that’s what it’s all about!”

Another added, “Bless him, he’s chaos on legs but he gave it 100%. That’s more than you can ask for.”

While Thomas’s time on the dancefloor has come to an early end, his personality certainly left a lasting impression. As he departs the Strictly ballroom, fans are already calling for him to pop up on another reality show soon, perhaps I’m A Celebrity or Celebrity Big Brother.

As the competition heats up, the remaining celebrities now face the pressure of impressing both the judges and the public, with next week’s theme promising even more glitz, glamour, and a few surprises along the way.
