The Weeknd has revealed that he is actively "brainstorming" his next move as he prepares to retire his iconic stage name and embark on a new chapter in his career.

The Canadian superstar, real name Abel Tesfaye, has never been shy about his desire to step away from his globally recognised persona, and fans have been left wondering what comes next for the "Blinding Lights" hitmaker.

Tesfaye has even gone so far as to confirm that his most recent album, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’, and its accompanying film of the same name, will be his last under the moniker of The Weeknd.

 But while the curtain may be closing on The Weeknd, Tesfaye insists that his musical journey is far from over. When asked about his future plans in a recent interview, he revealed: "We’re brainstorming it right now. I feel like we don’t have any definite answers, but I haven’t dropped it yet because I’m on tour, so I’ve still gotta get out there and see the fans."
