It was already shaping up to be one of the most iconic gigs of the summer, but now Stevie Wonder’s upcoming Hyde Park performance has been given an extra layer of magic, thanks to the addition of Ezra Collective as the official support act.
The five-piece Mercury Prize-winning band, known for their genre-defying blend of jazz, Afrobeat, hip-hop, and soul, will take to the stage on July 12th, warming up the crowd ahead of the legendary singer-songwriter’s highly anticipated headline slot.
An inspired pairing of old-school genius and new-school groove
Ezra Collective, who made history in 2023 as the first jazz act to win the prestigious Mercury Prize for their album Where I’m Meant to Be, have become one of the UK’s most exciting live acts. With their high-energy performances, crowd interaction, and genre-bending sounds, they’re the perfect match for a Stevie Wonder set that’s guaranteed to be packed with hits and soul-soaked singalongs.
Fans can expect a musical masterclass spanning generations, from Ezra’s bold, brass-led bangers like “Victory Dance” to Stevie Wonder’s timeless classics including “Superstition”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered”.
A once-in-a-lifetime experience
Wonder’s appearance is part of the BST Hyde Park concert series, which has already featured superstar acts like Andrea Bocelli, SZA, Shania Twain, and Kings of Leon. But the soul legend’s return to a London stage, with Ezra Collective in tow, has quickly become one of the most talked-about shows of the season.

In a statement, Ezra Collective said, “Opening for Stevie Wonder? That’s a dream come true. We grew up listening to his music, and now we get to share the stage with him in our hometown. Hyde Park is gonna feel like one huge celebration.”
If you haven’t grabbed a ticket yet, now’s the time, this is a once-in-a-generation lineup you don’t want to miss.
