Welsh rock icons Stereophonics have announced a major UK arena tour this December, bringing their unmistakable live energy to fans across nine cities.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of their Number One album Make ‘Em Laugh, Make ‘Em Cry, Make ‘Em Wait, which was released in April to critical acclaim. Currently in the middle of a run of huge outdoor summer shows, the band have now confirmed they’ll be extending the celebrations into winter.
The winter leg kicks off on December 4 at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, before visiting Newcastle, Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool, concluding at London’s iconic O2 Arena on December 18.
Lead singer Kelly Jones shared his excitement at the tour news: “This year has already been incredible for us, playing new songs alongside old favourites in front of huge crowds. We can’t wait to bring that same energy indoors for the winter and wrap up the year with something special for our fans.”
Tickets go on general sale on Friday, July 11, at 9:30am, and fans are advised to act fast, given the strong demand seen for the summer shows.
The band are still in the midst of a busy festival and stadium season, with huge summer dates still to come: two nights at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium this week, a headline at Sandringham Estate in August, and an appearance at BBC Radio 2’s In The Park in September.
