Selena Gomez may be happily engaged, but fans hoping for details about her big day will have to wait a little longer. The pop star and actress has admitted that she hasn’t started planning her wedding yet, and she’s in no rush.
The 32-year-old star, who confirmed her engagement to music producer Benny Blanco earlier this year, opened up in a recent interview about how she’s embracing this new chapter in her life without the stress of wedding preparations.
“We’re just enjoying being engaged right now,” Selena shared. “I feel like everyone expects you to jump into planning and pick a date and start looking at dresses, but honestly, I’m just happy being where we are. There’s no timeline.”
Selena and Benny surprised fans when news of their engagement broke, with the Only Murders in the Building star flashing a sparkling diamond ring on social media in January. Since then, the couple have been seen enjoying quiet date nights and romantic getaways, but have kept most details of their relationship private.
For Selena, who has spoken candidly about the pressures of fame and the importance of mental health, taking things slow feels right. “I don’t want this to feel like just another job or another thing on my calendar.
