Sabrina Carpenter is ready to take over summer 2025 with the release of her highly anticipated seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, officially dropping on August 29.
Fresh off the massive success of 2024’s Short N’ Sweet, Carpenter is showing no signs of slowing down. The lead single, Manchild, released just last week, has already caused a stir online with its punchy lyrics and infectious energy, an anthem of independence and cheeky sass that has fans pressing repeat.
Carpenter announced the new album on social media with an eye-catching set of visuals and a message to her fans: “I can’t wait for it to be yours.” The album cover art features Sabrina kneeling in front of a flowing white curtain, staring down the lens while a mysterious hand grabs a fistful of her hair, symbolic and provocative. In a recent Instagram post, Sabrina described the vibe of Manchild, saying:
“It feels like a never-ending road trip in the summer! Hence why I wanted to give it to you now, so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long! Thank you always and forever for listening, and thank you men for testing me!!”
Fans are speculating that this project could be her most personal, and punchiest, yet, full of playful digs, heartbreak-fuelled empowerment, and straight-up summer bops.
Having steadily transitioned from Disney darling to fully-fledged pop queen; Carpenter has earned both critical and commercial success over the past few years. With Man’s Best Friend, she seems poised to take yet another giant leap forward in her musical evolution.
