Vicky Pattison has revealed that she and her husband, Ercan Ramadan, are living under what she calls a “sex ban”, all thanks to her intense Strictly Come Dancing schedule.
The former Geordie Shore star, 36, has thrown herself completely into the competition, but the long rehearsals, physical training, and her busy career outside the BBC show have taken their toll on her energy levels. In a candid chat with Closer magazine, Vicky admitted that her love life has taken a backseat while she focuses on perfecting her dance moves.
“This sex ban thing is so bad,” she confessed. “I barely sh*g him anyway! Obviously, I love him, we’ve been together nearly 10 years, and we have a really healthy relationship in every aspect, but it’s just so hard.”
Vicky, who tied the knot with Ercan earlier this year, said that her Strictly journey has been both thrilling and exhausting. She explained that with hours of dance practice each day, combined with podcasting, social media commitments, and launching her new clothing collection, she simply has no energy left for anything else.
“You’re so exhausted,” she said. “You’re training for however many hours a day, and I’m still working outside of this. Things are full on. After a full day in training, you don’t fancy going home to do the mattress Mambo.”
Despite the dry spell, Vicky insists her marriage is stronger than ever, crediting Ercan for being understanding and supportive while she pursues one of the biggest opportunities of her career. The pair, who have been together since 2019, got married earlier this year in a romantic ceremony that Vicky described as “the happiest day of my life.”

Ercan, best known for appearing on The Only Way Is Essex, has often been seen cheering Vicky on from the sidelines. Sources close to the couple say he’s been nothing but proud of her dedication to the show, even if it means putting their usual affection on pause for now.
Fans have praised Vicky for her openness, with many commenting that her honesty about balancing marriage, work, and personal life makes her “relatable and real.” The TV star, who first shot to fame in Geordie Shore back in 2011, has since reinvented herself as a successful presenter, author, and podcaster.
Her appearance on Strictly marks another milestone in her career, and although it’s come with sacrifices, Vicky says she’s determined to give it her all. “I’m loving every minute,” she told Closer. “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s also the most rewarding. If it means a little break from the romance department, so be it, we’ll make up for it later!”
As Strictly Come Dancing continues to heat up, fans can expect to see more of Vicky’s signature charm, humour, and determination on the dance floor, even if things at home are temporarily cooling down.
