Rod Stewart Confirms Faces Reunion at Glastonbury – And It's Happening Soon

Rock legend Sir Rod Stewart has revealed that fans are in for a major treat at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, as he confirmed a mini-reunion with his iconic 70s band, The Faces, during his highly anticipated Legends Slot.

Rod dropped the bombshell during a recent episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, when chatting with hosts Peter Crouch and Chris Stark. While discussing his relationships with fellow music icons like The Rolling Stones and Sir Elton John, Stewart casually let slip that he and former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood will be reuniting on stage at Worthy Farm this summer.

“Woody and I do a lot just recently because we are going to do Glastonbury together,” Rod revealed, sending classic rock fans into a frenzy of excitement.

Rod and Ronnie, who formed part of the legendary rock group The Faces in the early 1970s, haven’t performed together under the band’s name on a major stage for years. Best known for raucous live shows and hits like Stay With Me, Ooh La La, and Debris, the band’s influence remains etched in the DNA of British rock history.

Though Rod joked that he hasn’t stayed in close contact with some of his other musical contemporaries, “I think they stay away from me,” he quipped, referencing their sober lifestyles, he made it clear that he and Ronnie are still tight, both personally and musically.

Adding to the buzz, it was revealed just last month that Rod and Ronnie have teamed up on a brand-new 11-track album, marking their first new studio material together in decades. Details about the album remain under wraps, but fans are hoping to hear a taste of it live at Glastonbury.

The Glastonbury Legends Slot, known for spotlighting iconic performers with timeless appeal, has previously hosted the likes of Kylie Minogue, Dolly Parton, and Diana Ross. With Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood now on the bill, it promises to be a set packed with nostalgia, rock anthems, and a celebration of one of Britain’s most beloved bands.

Whether it’s a one-off special or the beginning of more to come, this surprise Faces reunion is shaping up to be one of the must-see moments of the festival season. Dust off your flares, The Faces are back!
