Robbie Williams stunned fans at his latest live show by bringing out none other than Self Esteem for a surprise, show-stealing duet of the Take That anthem ‘Relight My Fire’.
The unexpected collab took place during Robbie’s recent UK tour stop, and it lit up the venue both literally and figuratively. As the opening bars of the 1993 hit began to play, fans were already buzzing, but the energy exploded when Self Esteem, aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor, walked on stage in a blaze of lights to tackle the iconic Lulu vocals.

Dressed in a sparkling black jumpsuit, Self Esteem held nothing back, belting the chorus with a powerful mix of soul and swagger. Robbie, never one to shy away from a theatrical moment, danced beside her with his signature charisma, clearly enjoying every second.
“It was one of those pinch-me moments,” one fan tweeted. “Self Esteem absolutely nailed it, such a perfect fit for that song!”
Social media erupted after the performance, with clips of the duet quickly going viral. Fans of both artists praised the chemistry and called for an official collaboration.
“She’s electric, he’s iconic, it worked so well!” said one TikTok user. “Release a studio version please!”
Self Esteem, known for her genre-blending, emotionally charged solo work, seemed equally thrilled, later posting a backstage photo on Instagram with the caption:
"Still can’t quite believe I got to be Lulu for the night. Thank you @robbiewilliams, what a dream.”
The performance also served as a powerful reminder of Robbie’s enduring ability to draw in and lift up talent from across the UK music scene. With Self Esteem’s star continuing to rise after her Mercury Prize nomination and critically acclaimed album Prioritise Pleasure, the duet felt like a passing of the pop torch, or at least a red-hot moment of mutual appreciation.
Robbie’s tour continues through the summer, with fans now wondering what other surprises he might have up his sleeve. But one thing’s for sure, relighting this fire with Self Esteem just set a new gold standard.
