ROD STEWART CANCELS VEGAS SHOW AMID ILLNESS - FANS WORRIED AHEAD OF GLASTONBURY

Sir Rod Stewart has been forced to pull out of his Las Vegas residency show at Caesars Palace due to illness, raising concerns just weeks before his highly anticipated appearance on Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid Stage.

The 79-year-old music legend was scheduled to perform at The Colosseum on Sunday night as part of his ongoing Vegas run, but took to social media to deliver the disappointing news to fans.

In a statement posted online, Rod said: “I am sorry to inform you that I'm not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date.”

The brief but sincere message sparked a wave of well wishes from fans around the world, many of whom are now wondering whether the veteran rocker's health issues could impact his upcoming UK performances, especially his Glastonbury Festival debut, which is just weeks away.

This latest cancellation follows another recent health-related incident. Last month, Stewart was spotted after a concert in Milan wearing a sign around his neck informing people he was unable to speak, a worrying sight for someone whose iconic raspy voice is central to his performances.

Sources close to the star have remained tight-lipped about the nature of his illness, describing it only as a temporary setback. But for fans who’ve been eagerly awaiting his Glastonbury set, one of the most talked-about appearances on this year’s lineup, the timing couldn’t be worse.

Rod’s Las Vegas residency has long been a fixture at The Colosseum, drawing in audiences from across the globe to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer perform his string of classic hits. His ability to deliver high-energy shows well into his late 70s has been a testament to his showmanship,  and his commitment to fans.

Now, with his Vegas date rescheduled for June 10 and Glastonbury set to take place just weeks later, the spotlight will be firmly on whether Stewart can bounce back in time.

For now, fans are hoping the legendary crooner will make a full recovery, and still bring his unmistakable voice to the fields of Somerset for what could be one of the festival’s standout moments.
