Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis has ventured into the world of coffee with the launch of his very own brand, ‘Jolene.’ The iconic rocker has teamed up with his longtime friend Shane Powers to create a product that is described as “concert-friendly” and perfect for those who live life to the fullest.
The brand name ‘Jolene’ is a playful nod to the classic Dolly Parton song of the same name, while also referencing the popular term “cup of Joe.” According to Kiedis and Powers, the coffee is designed to “move with the rhythm of live entertainment,” making it an ideal choice for festival-goers and music lovers alike.
Live Nation has come on board as an equity investor in the venture, ensuring that ‘Jolene’ will be readily available at major music venues across the United States. The coffee will be sold at Live Nation’s festivals and amphitheatres, including iconic locations such as the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington, Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in New York, and the Allianz Amphitheater in Richmond, Virginia.
But it’s not just about caffeine and convenience, ‘Jolene’ also has a strong ethical foundation. The coffee is sourced through an all-female co-op in Peru, directly supporting women growers and their communities. This commitment to sustainability and female empowerment sets the brand apart from many others in the market.
For Kiedis, this latest venture is an opportunity to combine his passion for music with a product that complements the energy of live performances. Fans of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and coffee enthusiasts, now have a new way to connect with the iconic frontman.
