Hold onto your wellies, there’s a brand new piglet in town! The Peppa Pig universe has just expanded, as Mummy Pig gave birth to a baby girl yesterday morning, sending fans into a frenzy of adorable delight.
The new arrival, named Evie, was born at 5:34am at none other than the Lindo Wing in London, the very same exclusive maternity ward that welcomed all three of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ children. With this royal-level birth, the Peppa Pig family has taken their place among the most talked-about parenting icons of 2024.
The internet went into overdrive back in February when Mummy Pig shocked viewers by announcing her pregnancy live on Good Morning Britain, marking the first ever crossover between the animated favourite and real-world news programming. The unexpected reveal sparked headlines, memes, and wild speculation about everything from baby names to potential spin-off shows.
Fans were treated to even more excitement last month during a lavish gender reveal party held at London’s Battersea Power Station, where pink balloons confirmed the new piglet would be a girl, causing squeals of joy from both preschoolers and parents alike.
