Post Malone has won a significant legal victory in a private battle concerning his young daughter, after the mother of his child dropped a petition to relocate the three-year-old from Utah to California.
The chart-topping singer, real name Austin Post, had fiercely opposed the request, arguing that it was in the best interest of their child to remain in Utah, the state he calls home and where he’s been quietly raising their daughter out of the spotlight.
The dispute, which had been playing out behind closed doors for several months, surfaced in court documents filed earlier this year. His ex-fiancée, with whom he shares custody of their daughter, had submitted a formal request to move the child across state lines, citing family support and career opportunities in California.
However, following a series of court discussions and with Post Malone reportedly presenting a strong case against the relocation, the petition has now been withdrawn, meaning the couple’s daughter will remain in Utah, at least for the foreseeable future.
According to insiders, Malone was “devastated” at the idea of being separated from his daughter and had gone to great lengths to maintain stability in her life, particularly given his own demanding touring and recording schedule.
