Olivia Rodrigo Pays for Her Entire Tour Crew to Have Therapy: “The Dreamiest Boss Ever”

Olivia Rodrigo has proven she’s more than just a pop superstar, she’s also a thoughtful and compassionate boss.

The Vampire singer’s guitarist Daisy Spencer has revealed that during the just-completed Guts World Tour, Rodrigo made professional therapy accessible and free for her entire touring team, including all band and crew members.

The Guts World Tour, in support of Rodrigo’s acclaimed second album Guts, ran from February through to early June 2025, with the final show taking place in Manchester. Across 102 shows on multiple continents, Rodrigo performed to millions of fans while making sure her team was looked after behind the scenes.

Speaking on The Stage Left Podcast, Spencer opened up about the experience, saying the therapy support “reignited the importance of therapy to me because I had just kind of fallen off for so long.”

“I have never had anything like that,” Spencer said. “And then suddenly I had this free resource of incredible therapists, and I utilised the crap out of that. I was going once a week, once every other week, whenever I could. Even during the off time, we still had access to this resource.”

Spencer praised Rodrigo and her tour manager, Marty Hom, for putting the wellbeing of their team first. “It was even during the off time, we also still had access to this resource. Honestly, that was one of the coolest things that has ever happened on tour. It’s not very heard of. She really is the dreamiest boss of all time.”

Fans online have applauded Rodrigo for normalising mental health support in the high-pressure world of touring. With long stretches on the road known to take their toll on artists and crews alike, her decision sets a refreshing precedent.

The 21-year-old star has often spoken about the emotional themes in her music, but this behind-the-scenes gesture shows her commitment to emotional wellbeing isn’t just lyrical, it’s lived.

One fan posted on social media: “Olivia Rodrigo is really setting a new standard. A kind, caring, talented queen.”

As Rodrigo takes a well-earned break after her epic tour, her team is likely feeling just as grateful to have been a part of it, both on stage and off.
