OASIS WARNED TO AVOID DONALD TRUMP REMARKS AHEAD OF US COMEBACK TOUR

As Oasis gear up for their highly anticipated comeback tour across Canada and the United States, music insiders are warning Liam and Noel Gallagher to keep their thoughts on Donald Trump firmly to themselves.

The legendary Manchester band are set to reunite on stage for the first time in over a decade, with the North American leg of the tour already generating huge demand. However, given the Gallaghers’ history of unfiltered public comments, industry figures fear that outspoken political opinions could stir up controversy, and even risk causing disruption to the tour.

Top showbiz manager Jonathan Shalit has urged the Britpop icons to sidestep the subject of American politics entirely. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said:

“My advice to Oasis is simple: stay out of American politics. If they want their US tour to go ahead without disruption, it would be wise to keep quiet on all things Trump.”

The Gallagher brothers have never shied away from sharing their views, whether about fellow musicians, the media, or political figures. Liam once famously branded Trump a “dick” in a 2016 interview, while Noel criticised the former US president’s environmental policies, calling them “pretty scary.”

Such remarks, while commonplace in UK interviews, can be far more polarising in the United States, especially in an election year. With Trump once again a dominant figure in American politics, even a passing comment could cause headlines and potential backlash.

The Oasis reunion tour has been billed as one of the biggest live music events of the decade, with millions in ticket sales, merchandise, and sponsorship deals at stake. The North American shows will be crucial for both fan engagement and financial returns.

In an era where social media outrage can escalate quickly, industry insiders believe a single inflammatory comment could distract from the music and fuel political division at concerts.

Reaction among Oasis fans has been mixed. Some argue that the brothers should be free to speak their minds, regardless of potential consequences. Others believe that, for the sake of the tour, discretion might be the better option.

On fan forums, one supporter wrote: “It’s Oasis. If you tell them not to say something, they’re probably going to say it louder.” Another countered: “I just want to see the band live, no politics, just the tunes.”

Whether Liam and Noel heed the warning remains to be seen. The pair are known for their rebellious streak, but with the eyes of the music world on them and a sell-out US tour ahead, the stakes have never been higher.

For now, Oasis fans on both sides of the Atlantic are counting down the days to hear anthems like Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, and Live Forever blasting through arenas once again, hopefully without political drama stealing the spotlight.
