In a recent interview with HELLO! magazine, Nicole did not mince words: “Oh, there's no wedding planning, honey,” she said. “When you do Broadway, it's only Broadway. You eat, sleep, you don't sleep much, and breathe Broadway.” It's clear that Broadway’s gruelling schedule has taken precedence over nuptial, for now.
The couple’s story began in 2019 on The X Factor: Celebrity, where Nicole was a judge and Thom Evans, formerly of Scottish rugby, as part of Try Star. He proposed in a dreamy beach setting in Portugal in 2023. While their engagement has sparked plenty of excitement, especially with talk of a tropical wedding in Hawaii and a reception back in Europe, Nicole confirms that nothing is moving forward until her Broadway contract wraps up in July.
Scherzinger gushed about her fiancé’s unwavering support, calling him a “wonderful and most supportive fiancé”. In fact, Thom’s patience has earned widespread praise; one source even likened him to a divine force for standing by her during a two-year-long run.
Nicole is also careful about balancing family dreams with career demands. She admitted that although she’s eager to have children,“like, the clock is ticking”, her current focus must remain on her stage role. But she promised: “I’m going to have to make time because, yes, I cannot wait to have children.”
With July’s curtain call fast approaching, all eyes are on what lies ahead. Once her Broadway stint ends on July 20, Nicole and Thom will likely begin planning their dreamy wedding, rumoured to be a two-part affair: Hawaii ceremony, followed by a European reception. Nicole’s grandfather is even expected to officiate the ceremony.
