Maya Jama Sparks Feud with KSI’s Podcast Co-Hosts After “Privately Educated” Comment

It seems there’s trouble brewing between Maya Jama and the co-hosts of KSI’s popular What’s Good? podcast, following a comment she made about not really “connecting” with them because they’re “privately educated”, a claim that has since been called out as inaccurate.

The drama started during an interview on another podcast earlier this week, where Maya was asked if she ever thought about collaborating on projects with KSI’s wider team. The TV and Love Island star said:

“I don’t really connect with his podcast guys. They’re nice enough but I feel like we’re from totally different worlds, you know, they’re all privately educated and grew up very differently from me.”

Her remark quickly went viral, but it was soon pointed out by fans that only KSI himself attended private school, while his podcast co-hosts, Simon Minter (Miniminter) and Randolph, both attended regular state schools.

Randolph was quick to react on X (formerly Twitter), posting a cryptic but seemingly pointed tweet:

“Man said ‘privately educated’ 😂

Simon also joined in on the banter, replying to a fan’s comment:

“Imagine being labelled private school when you grew up on Tesco meal deals.”

Love Island host, 30, sparked a heated back-and-forth with YouTube star KSI (pictured) after a throwaway comment on her friend Chunkz’s podcast, The Chunkz Show – Credit: LBG Media Plc

The exchange has since sparked heated debate among their fanbases, with some defending Maya for simply speaking her mind, while others accused her of stereotyping and being misinformed.

One user wrote: “It’s awkward to say you don’t connect with people based on their education level, especially if you got it wrong!”

Another chimed in: “Maya Jama is a queen, but this was uncalled for. Simon and Randolph have always been humble guys.”

Maya hasn’t yet publicly responded to the backlash, though insiders close to her told tabloids she “didn’t mean it as a dig” and was just trying to express how different their upbringings felt when she met them.

Whether or not the tension will blow over remains to be seen, but the clip has already racked up millions of views, proving once again that in the world of YouTube and celebrity culture, nothing stays private for long.
