MTV VMAS 2025: LADY GAGA CROWNED ARTIST OF THE YEAR IN STAR-STUDDED NIGHT

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards brought the biggest names in music to the UBS Arena in New York, with an electrifying show hosted by LL Cool J. The evening was filled with unforgettable performances, shocking wins, and a heartfelt tribute to rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.

But the spotlight truly belonged to Lady Gaga, who was crowned Artist of the Year. The pop icon accepted her Moonman with grace before quickly leaving to perform her sold-out Madison Square Garden concert, proving once again why she remains one of the hardest-working artists in the industry.

The ceremony delivered plenty of viral-worthy moments. Ariana Grande scored two of the night’s most prestigious awards, Best Pop and Video of the Year for her empowering anthem “Brighter Days Ahead.” Her awkward but endearing on-camera hug with Sabrina Carpenter (who won Best Pop Artist and Best Album) had fans buzzing across social media.

Meanwhile, Rosé & Bruno Mars took home Song of the Year for their smash hit “APT.” Bruno was back on stage again when he teamed up with Gaga to collect the Best Collaboration award for “Die With a Smile.”

Emerging stars also had their moment. TikTok sensation Alex Warren walked away with Best New Artist, while Tyla earned Best Afrobeats for “Push 2 Start.”

The international categories highlighted the global power of music, with Shakira winning Best Latin for “Soltera” and BLACKPINK nabbing Best Group.

From start to finish, the night was jam-packed with unforgettable performances. Doechii brought raw energy with “Anxiety,” Mariah Carey dazzled with her smooth R&B ballad “Type Dangerous,” and Coldplay lit up the arena with “All My Love.”
