Pop star turned wellness advocate Michelle Heaton is heading back to our screens, and this time, she’s swapping the stage for the kitchen.
The Liberty X singer has officially signed up for the upcoming season of Celebrity MasterChef, joining a sizzling line-up of famous faces ready to battle it out for culinary glory on the hit BBC One series.
A TV insider revealed to The Sun that Heaton was eager to get involved:
“Michelle has had a couple of years away from reality TV, since she did Dancing on Ice and Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins in 2023, but when she was asked to do Celebrity MasterChef, she couldn’t turn it down.
She’s a big fan of the show.
As a personal trainer, she’s also really into healthy eating and wants to show the public that food can be delicious and still really good for you.”
Michelle joins a diverse cast of competitors for this year’s edition, including Blue singer Antony Costa, Love Island star Uma Jammeh, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK favourite Ginger Johnson. With such a bold and varied lineup, fans can expect a mix of styles, flavours, and fiery kitchen drama as the celebrities face off in the ultimate cook-off.
One of the biggest changes this season comes in the form of the judging panel. Longtime host Gregg Wallace has stepped away from the series, and in his place is much-loved food critic Grace Dent, who joins John Torode to bring a fresh dynamic to the judging table. Known for her sharp wit and culinary knowledge, Dent is expected to bring both humour and high standards to the competition.
Celebrity MasterChef has become a staple of summer TV, attracting millions of viewers with its mix of intense culinary challenges, heartwarming stories, and surprise transformations, often turning unexpected stars into seriously impressive chefs.
For Michelle Heaton, it’s a welcome return to television after focusing on her health and personal journey in recent years. With her passion for healthy eating and high-energy personality, she’s already tipped to be one to watch.
The new series of Celebrity MasterChef is set to air later this year, and with a lineup this tasty, it’s shaping up to be one of the most entertaining seasons yet.
