METALLICA ANNOUNCE MASSIVE 2026 UK AND EUROPEAN TOUR

Metallica are showing no signs of slowing down as they unveil a new run of UK and European tour dates for 2026, extending their colossal M72 World Tour into a fourth consecutive year.

The legendary metal band’s record-breaking trek, launched in 2023 in support of their 11th studio album ‘72 Seasons’, will continue to dominate stadiums across Europe next summer, including long-awaited returns to cities they haven’t played in over a decade.

Kicking off in May 2026, Metallica will hit major European cities including Athens, Bucharest, Chorzów, Frankfurt, Zurich, Berlin, Bologna, and Budapest, before making their way to the UK and Ireland in June and July.

UK and Irish fans are in for something special with a run of stadium-sized shows, including:

  • June 19 & 21 – Dublin, Aviva Stadium (their first performance in Ireland since 2009’s World Magnetic Tour)
  • June 25 – Glasgow, Hampden Park
  • June 28 – Cardiff, Principality Stadium
  • July 3 & 5 – London, London Stadium for two back-to-back shows as part of the band’s signature “No Repeat Weekend” format

The “No Repeat Weekend” concept, which Metallica debuted on this tour, means no songs repeated across the two nights, giving die-hard fans a completely unique setlist each evening. That’s double the reason to grab a two-night ticket.

Supporting the metal giants across various tour dates are some of the most formidable names in heavy music, including Pantera, Gojira, Knocked Loose, and Avatar. Each opener brings a distinct brand of heavy to the lineup, ensuring fans are treated to a full-throttle experience from start to finish.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am next Friday, with options for single-night entry or full No Repeat Weekend packages. Given Metallica’s global fanbase and the scale of this tour, demand is expected to be sky-high.

The M72 tour has already smashed attendance records worldwide and earned praise for its immersive stage design, dynamic performances, and the band’s enduring power after more than four decades at the top of their game. With 2026 shaping up to be yet another monumental chapter, Metallica continue to prove why they’re still the reigning kings of metal.

Don’t miss your chance to witness them live, this may be the biggest tour of the decade.
