Made in Chelsea fans have been left surprised, and for some, delighted, as Ruby Adler has officially confirmed she has quit the long-running reality show after five years in front of the cameras.
Ruby, who has been a regular fixture of the E4 series since 2019, took to social media while holidaying in Greece to explain her decision to walk away from the glamorous but often turbulent world of SW3.
In a candid TikTok video titled “Thank you all so much for the support on MIC for the last 5 years. Here’s to the next chapter,” the 30-year-old addressed her followers while getting ready, admitting she “owed fans an explanation” after so much of her private life had played out on screen.
Speaking as she cleansed her face in the video, Ruby confirmed that she won’t be returning to Made in Chelsea when the show films its next set of episodes in Thailand, a fact that hadn’t gone unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers.

“Some of you might be thrilled, I feel like a lot of you will be thrilled, to hear and know that I’m not coming back,” she said.
“I think I’ve done it for five years. I’ve had the most incredible five years of my life. We’ve got to travel the world. I’ve got to film with my best friends. There’s been so many highs and lows. There’s been makeups, breakups, many makeups, many breakups!”
Ruby went on to reflect on how reaching a milestone birthday helped crystallise her decision:
“I’ve hit 30, I was going in a slightly different direction, and wanting a bit more peace at this moment in time,” she said.
The star didn’t rule out a return in the future but made it clear she was ready to move on, sparking speculation among fans about what her next “chapter” might hold.
Made in Chelsea continues on E4, with the upcoming Thailand series promising more sun-soaked drama, minus Ruby.
