It’s an unmistakable voice, and now, Manchester commuters and concert-goers alike can enjoy it on their way to see one of Britain’s biggest bands. Liam Gallagher, frontman of Oasis, has recorded special tram announcements for Manchester’s Metrolink ahead of the band’s highly anticipated Live ’25 tour dates at Heaton Park.
Oasis begin their series of sold-out Manchester shows tonight, celebrating 25 years since their landmark gigs at the same venue in 2000. To mark the occasion, Liam has once again lent his distinctive Mancunian tones to the city’s tram network, greeting thousands of fans arriving for the shows.
According to the Manchester Evening News, four unique announcements voiced by Liam will play at the Heaton Park tram stop throughout the Oasis concert dates. In one version, Liam’s voice calls out, “The next stop is… Heaton Parrrk,” before adding with typical nonchalance, “Off you go.”
Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham praised the collaboration, saying:
“It’s brilliant that Liam is lending his legendary vocals to the Bee Network once again, and I’d urge everyone to listen out for them when getting off the tram at Heaton Park for the gigs. It’s a lovely touch that only Manchester could pull off.”
This isn’t the first time Liam has voiced announcements on Manchester’s Metrolink. In 2023, he surprised tram passengers by recording lines to celebrate the launch of Greater Manchester’s integrated Bee Network and the Beyond the Music festival, which showcases emerging artists from across the region.

The Oasis gigs at Heaton Park are set to be one of the highlights of the summer, with fans travelling from all over the UK and beyond to see the band perform. The Live ’25 tour has already generated huge buzz, not just for its nostalgia factor but also as one of the rare opportunities to see Oasis back on stage together performing their biggest hits.
Concert-goers arriving tonight should allow extra time for journeys, as roads and trams into Heaton Park are expected to be exceptionally busy. Transport for Greater Manchester has encouraged fans to plan ahead and make full use of the trams, especially now that Liam himself is encouraging everyone to hop on board.
For many Mancunians, hearing Liam’s voice boom through the tram speakers is just another reminder of how deeply tied Oasis are to the city’s identity. As one fan wrote on social media: “Only in Manchester would you hear Liam Gallagher telling you to get off the tram. Iconic.”
The special announcements will run on all the Oasis concert dates at Heaton Park. If you’re heading to the gig, don’t forget to listen out for that unmistakable Manc attitude welcoming you to one of music’s most iconic parks.
