LEWIS HAMILTON MOURNS BELOVED DOG ROSCOE AFTER HEARTBREAKING GOODBYE

Lewis Hamilton has confirmed the death of his beloved dog, Roscoe, in a deeply emotional statement shared with fans.

The seven-time Formula 1 world champion took to Instagram to reveal the heartbreaking news, saying he had to make the “hardest decision of my life” after Roscoe spent four days on life support.

“A Beautiful Soul, An Angel and True Friend”

In his tribute, Hamilton wrote: “After four days on life support, fighting with every bit of strength he had, I had to make the hardest decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe. He never stopped fighting, right until the very end.”

He continued: “I feel so grateful and honoured to have shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and true friend. Bringing Roscoe into my life was the best decision I ever made, and I will forever cherish the memories we created together.”

Hamilton, 40, has been open in the past about the joy Roscoe brought him. The bulldog often accompanied the racing star to the paddock, featured in behind-the-scenes posts, and even became something of a celebrity in his own right with his own social media following.

A Painful First

The racing legend revealed that although he has experienced loss before, including that of his other dog, Coco, this was the first time he has had to make the devastating decision to put a pet to sleep.

“Although I lost Coco, I have never been faced with putting a dog to sleep before, though I know my mum and many close friends have,” Hamilton explained. “It is one of the most painful experiences, and I feel a deep connection to everyone who has gone through the loss of a beloved pet.”

He added: “Although it was so hard, having him was one of the most beautiful parts of life, to love so deeply and to be loved in return.”

Roscoe: More Than a Pet

For Hamilton, Roscoe was more than just a companion. Over the years, he shared countless updates about their adventures, from travelling the world together to quiet moments at home. Roscoe even walked red carpets alongside his famous owner, often capturing the hearts of fans and photographers alike.

Many Formula 1 followers knew Roscoe as an extension of Hamilton’s family. His appearances at races, trotting proudly behind Hamilton or snoozing in the background of interviews, made him a fan favourite across the sport.

Hamilton ended his statement by thanking supporters: “Thank you all for the love and support you’ve shown Roscoe over the years. It has been so special to witness and feel.”

For fans of Hamilton and dog lovers alike, Roscoe’s passing feels like the loss of a familiar friend. While Hamilton continues his racing career, he does so carrying the memory of the bulldog who brought him so much joy.
