LADY GAGA: MEGASTAR ADDED TO MTV VMA’S

Lady Gaga is officially set to perform at the 2025 MTV VMAs, marking her first appearance on the show in five years. The superstar, who leads the pack with a staggering 12 nominations this year, will bring her trademark theatricality to one of music’s biggest nights on Sunday, September 7.

Her confirmed performance comes as she dominates the nominees list, securing more nods than any other artist. Gaga’s “Die With A Smile” collaborator Bruno Mars follows close behind with 10 nominations, alongside Kendrick Lamar, who is also up for 10. These three artists are the only ones with double-digit nominations at this year’s ceremony.

MTV shared the exciting news with fans in true Gaga fashion, writing on X: “Need all of my fellow Little Monsters to COME TO THE FRONT! Why, you ask?! Oh, because MOTHER MONSTER HERSELF IS PERFORMING AT THE 2025 #VMAs!!!!”

However, there’s a unique twist. Gaga already has a Mayhem Ball tour date on the same evening at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden. That means her VMAs performance is expected to be broadcast live from the venue, rather than from the UBS Arena where the awards show is officially taking place.

This will be Gaga’s first VMA performance since 2020, when she delivered an unforgettable medley of tracks from her Chromatica album, joined by Ariana Grande for their chart-topping duet “Rain on Me.” That night, the pair won Song of the Year, while Gaga herself took home Artist of the Year.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating her return, with many expecting another show-stopping moment that only Gaga can deliver. Known for turning awards show performances into full-scale spectacles, from her blood-soaked “Paparazzi” at the 2009 VMAs to her piano-driven “Yoü and I” in 2011, expectations are sky-high for what she will bring this time around.

The announcement also confirms that Gaga will join an already star-studded line-up of performers. Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, and Busta Rhymes have all been announced as part of the 2025 show, but it’s clear that Gaga’s addition has turned anticipation into full-blown hysteria among fans.

With her dominance in the nominations and her long-awaited return to the VMA stage, Lady Gaga is set to be one of the defining stars of this year’s ceremony. Whether it’s a dramatic live broadcast from Madison Square Garden or a pre-recorded spectacle, Mother Monster is certain to make her presence felt in spectacular fashion.

For fans of Gaga and for pop culture enthusiasts alike, September 7 is shaping up to be a night where music history is made once again.
