Outspoken TV personality and celebrity cleaner Kim Woodburn has never been one to mince her words, and now she’s revealed the rudest celebrity she’s ever crossed paths with.
In a candid new interview, the How Clean Is Your House? star didn’t hold back when naming broadcaster Julia Bradbury as the most unpleasant celebrity she’s encountered. The incident, Kim claims, occurred during filming for the 2016 BBC series Rich, Famous and Homeless, which saw high-profile figures give up their luxury lifestyles to experience homelessness for a week.
Speaking to Casino.org, Kim recalled the tension between her and Bradbury during the emotionally intense shoot, and labelled the presenter “rotten” in how she allegedly behaved.
“Do you know, I had a shocking time with Julia Bradbury,” Kim said. “She was rotten to me.”
The premise of the show involved participants giving up their possessions and dressing in clothing sourced from charity shops to better reflect the reality of life on the streets. According to Kim, all the clothing was dumped in a pile, and each celebrity was told to take what they needed, including a coat for warmth.
But when Kim went to find a coat, there wasn’t one left for her, and she claims Julia had taken more than her fair share.
“I thought bl**dy hell, I need a coat. It was flipping cold, love,” Kim explained. She said a producer noticed she didn’t have one and approached Julia to ask how many she had taken.
That’s when, according to Kim, things turned sour.
“She was sitting on the ground, the brazen madam,” Kim recounted. “The producer said, ‘I think you’ve taken one of Kim’s coats.’ And do you know what Julia said? Bearing in mind I’m about a size 20 and she’s about a size 12, she said, ‘When we came here, you tipped all those clothes on the floor and told the five of us to pick what we wanted. And I’ve picked what I wanted. As far as I’m concerned, I’m keeping the coats.’”
The 82-year-old said she was left coatless in the cold, a moment that stuck with her not just because of the discomfort, but the apparent disregard shown by her fellow participant.
Kim also reflected on her time on Celebrity Big Brother, calling it “horrible”, another experience she’s clearly not eager to relive. But if one thing’s for sure, it’s that Kim Woodburn is never afraid to name names.
