Katie McGlynn has quietly split from her TOWIE star boyfriend Ricky Rayment, bringing an end to their whirlwind romance.
The Coronation Street actress, best known for her award-winning role as Sinead Tinker, started dating Ricky in 2023 after meeting aboard a cruise ship. The pair’s relationship quickly caught fans’ attention, especially when Katie was spotted wearing a sparkling ring earlier this year, fuelling engagement rumours.
But over the past few months, eagle-eyed followers noticed something was amiss. Both Katie and Ricky deleted all traces of each other from their social media accounts, and neither had shared pictures or posts about one another in weeks.
Now, a source close to the couple has confirmed the split, telling the MailOnline:
“Katie and Ricky have ended their romance. They’re still friends and want to remain civil, but in terms of a romantic relationship, it’s definitely over.”
The insider also revealed that the distance between them made things particularly difficult. “Katie is based in Manchester for work and Ricky has his life in Essex, so the long-distance really took its toll,” they added.

It’s a sad turn of events for fans who had hoped the soap and reality TV stars would make it down the aisle. Back in February, Katie sparked a flurry of speculation when she was photographed wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring.
Neither Katie nor Ricky has commented publicly on the split yet, but both continue to focus on their respective careers. Katie remains one of British television’s most-loved young actresses, while Ricky, who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex, now runs his own fishing business and keeps a lower profile.
The former couple are said to be keen to keep things amicable, with friends describing the split as “grown-up” and “mutual.” Fans will no doubt be hoping that Katie, who has previously spoken about her desire to find lasting love, will find happiness again soon.
