KELSEY GRAMMER BECOMES A DAD AGAIN FOR EIGHTH TIME AGED 70

Hollywood veteran Kelsey Grammer has announced that he’s become a father once again, at the age of 70.

The beloved Frasier actor revealed the news on the Pod Meets World podcast earlier this week, confirming that he and his wife Kayte Walsh recently welcomed a baby boy named Christopher.

“Just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids!” Grammer beamed during the interview. “It was like three days ago, Christopher just joined the family.”

The surprise announcement took fans by storm, with many praising the Emmy-winning actor for his openness and joy as he enters another chapter of fatherhood.

According to a source speaking to the Daily Mail, Kelsey’s wife Kayte, 45, has been “glowing” since the birth of their son. “Kelsey’s been incredibly supportive of Kayte throughout this pregnancy, which, though unexpected, has reignited a spark in their marriage that they both needed,” the insider revealed.

“This will be their fourth child together, and with Kelsey’s other children from his previous marriages, their new bundle of joy will have so much love.”

The couple already share three children, Faith, Kelsey Jr., and Auden, and have been married since 2011. For Grammer, this marks his eighth child in total, following a rich and complicated family life spread across his previous marriages.

The Cheers and Frasier legend is known not only for his impressive TV legacy but also for his candidness about personal highs and lows. In recent years, he’s spoken openly about the importance of family, faith, and forgiveness in shaping his life after decades in the Hollywood spotlight.

Sources close to the star say that this new addition has brought renewed energy into the Grammer household. “After giving Frasier one last go, he’s hung his hat up on that character and is ready for the next phase of his life,” one insider explained. “He’s looking forward to embracing the hands-on parenting he missed in the past.”

Indeed, the Frasier revival, which debuted last year on Paramount+, marked what Grammer described as his “final goodbye” to one of television’s most iconic roles. The series was a nostalgic farewell to Dr. Frasier Crane, a character he portrayed for over two decades across Cheers and Frasier, earning multiple Emmy Awards and cementing his place in TV history.

Now, the actor appears ready to focus on family life. Those who know him best say the birth of baby Christopher has brought “a sense of peace” to the star, who has endured immense personal tragedy over the years, including the loss of close family members early in his life.

Despite his age, Grammer shows no signs of slowing down professionally, but sources say his priorities have shifted. “He’s realised what truly matters,” one close friend told People. “He wants to be present, to enjoy the little moments, and to be the dad he always wished he could be when his career was taking off.”

Fans have flooded social media with warm wishes, congratulating the actor and Kayte on their new arrival. Messages of love have poured in from around the world, many calling him “an inspiration” for finding joy and family connection later in life.

As Grammer himself once said, “It’s never too late for love, laughter, or a fresh start.”

With baby Christopher now part of the picture, it looks like the sitcom legend is getting just that, a brand new beginning.
