Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has announced the birth of her twins, sharing the joyous news with her fans just days after a challenging pregnancy. The 32-year-old singer, who has been in hospital since late March, revealed that her daughters arrived on Sunday morning, and despite the unexpected early delivery, both babies are healthy and thriving.
Nelson, who rose to fame as a member of the chart-topping girl group Little Mix, had been diagnosed with Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), a rare but serious condition that can occur in identical twin pregnancies. The condition involves an imbalance in the blood supply between the twins, placing one or both babies at significant risk.
Taking to social media, Nelson shared an emotional post confirming that her daughters were safe and well. ‘So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days. It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love,’ she wrote.
The singer also revealed the names of her newborns, introducing her daughters as Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. Accompanying the heartfelt message was a touching photo of the tiny twins' hands clasped together, instantly melting the hearts of her millions of followers.
Nelson’s journey to motherhood has been far from straightforward, with the diagnosis of TTTS leading to weeks of anxiety and constant monitoring in hospital. Thankfully, the quick actions of medical professionals ensured a positive outcome for both babies.
