JADE REVEALS SHE WON’T RECEIVE ROYALTIES FOR FAN-FAVOURITE SINGLE

Pop sensation JADE has revealed that she won’t earn a penny from one of the most popular tracks on her brand-new debut album, and fans can’t believe it.

JADE, who just released her first solo record ‘That’s Showbiz Baby!’ last week, has already made waves with her bold sound and unapologetic pop anthems. The album includes hit singles like ‘FUFN’ and ‘Angel Of My Dreams’, but it’s the emotional track ‘Before You Break My Heart’ that’s quickly become a standout favourite among listeners.

However, speaking in a new interview, JADE admitted that she won’t be receiving royalties from the song because it samples The Supremes’ 1965 Motown classic ‘Stop! In The Name Of Love’, meaning the profits will go to the original rights holders.

“It’s so funny you say you like it, I didn’t think it would be a favourite,” JADE told The Sun. “But it’s the one that’s getting the most traction online.”

Fans have taken to social media to share their love for the track, calling it one of her most powerful and relatable songs yet. Many are now praising JADE for prioritising artistry over profits, with some even suggesting that her choice to sample such a legendary song gives the track a timeless feel.

Music experts say JADE’s decision to include the sample shows confidence in her vision as an artist. Sampling comes with expensive licensing fees and typically means an artist earns less (or in this case, nothing) from a track, but it can also elevate a song’s appeal by connecting it to music history.

‘Before You Break My Heart’ combines nostalgic Motown energy with JADE’s signature pop style, creating a song that feels both retro and fresh. The track has been trending on TikTok since the album’s release, with fans using it for heartbreak edits, dance routines, and even wedding-related clips, proving just how versatile the song has become in the short time since its release.

JADE’s debut album ‘That’s Showbiz Baby!’ marks a new era for the singer, who has spoken openly about wanting to craft a record that’s theatrical, fun, and completely her own. Despite the financial sacrifice for one of its most-loved tracks, it seems the album is already achieving what she set out to do, spark conversation, connect with fans, and showcase her range as a performer.

For fans who want to support her, JADE has encouraged streaming the full album and buying tickets for her upcoming tour, which kicks off early next year.
