Pop sensation JADE has revealed that she won’t earn a penny from one of the most popular tracks on her brand-new debut album, and fans can’t believe it.
JADE, who just released her first solo record ‘That’s Showbiz Baby!’ last week, has already made waves with her bold sound and unapologetic pop anthems. The album includes hit singles like ‘FUFN’ and ‘Angel Of My Dreams’, but it’s the emotional track ‘Before You Break My Heart’ that’s quickly become a standout favourite among listeners.
However, speaking in a new interview, JADE admitted that she won’t be receiving royalties from the song because it samples The Supremes’ 1965 Motown classic ‘Stop! In The Name Of Love’, meaning the profits will go to the original rights holders.
“It’s so funny you say you like it, I didn’t think it would be a favourite,” JADE told The Sun. “But it’s the one that’s getting the most traction online.”
