Georgia Kousoulou Admits She Only Speaks to Three Castmates

Reality TV reunions may look picture perfect, but behind the scenes, it's not all glitz and glam, just ask Georgia Kousoulou. The former TOWIE favourite has revealed that she only keeps in touch with a small handful of her former co-stars, hinting at long-standing tensions and behind-the-scenes fallouts on the hit ITVBe series.

Georgia, who joined The Only Way Is Essex in 2014 and remained a central figure until her departure in 2021, recently opened up in an interview with new! magazine. Despite spending seven drama-filled years alongside some of the show’s biggest names, she revealed she only still speaks to three cast members: Dan Edgar, James ‘Diags’ Bennewith, and Saffron Lempriere.

“I talk to Dan Edgar all the time, Diags and Saffron,” she said. “When you see someone from the show, it’s like no time has passed – you have a special bond.”

The candid admission comes as a surprise to fans, especially considering Georgia’s high-profile presence during her time on the show. She shared the screen with Essex staples including Pete Wicks, Chloe Sims, Ferne McCann, Lydia Bright, James Lock, and Georgia Harrison. But it seems those relationships haven’t lasted beyond the cameras.

While Georgia didn’t name names or delve into details, her comments suggest that not all friendships formed in Brentwood have survived off-screen. Her choice to only highlight three connections subtly hints at deeper divides between her and the rest of the cast, an intriguing revelation for fans who have followed the show’s tangled web of relationships over the years.

Georgia, who has since focused on family life and motherhood after stepping away from the series, appears to have distanced herself from the drama that made TOWIE famous. Her comments offer a rare glimpse into the reality of reality TV, where close-knit cast members often drift apart once the cameras stop rolling.

Despite the divides, she did add a touch of warmth: “When you see someone from the show, it’s like no time has passed.” It’s clear that while she may not be in daily contact with most of her former castmates, there’s still some mutual respect and nostalgia for the time they spent together.

Whether or not more tea will be spilled remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure, Essex never stays quiet for long.
