From soap scripts to sun-soaked villa drama, Hollyoaks actor Charlie Georgio has swapped Chester for Fiji as he makes a surprise entrance into the latest season of Love Island USA.
The former soap star, who played police informant Jed in a six-episode Hollyoaks storyline, has now joined the cast of America’s hottest reality dating show as a late arrival bombshell, and he’s already turning heads.
Charlie’s time on Hollyoaks may have been brief, but it certainly made an impact. His character, Jed, was involved in a gripping plotline as an undercover informant infiltrating a far-right extremist group, and was memorably set up on a date with long-time character Ste Hay.
Now, Georgio is stepping into the spotlight in a very different way, as one of the bronzed hopefuls looking for love on Love Island USA. The show, currently being filmed in paradise on the Fijian coast, introduced Charlie during the second episode of the new season, and it didn’t take long for him to make an impression.
Strutting into the villa wearing little more than a confident smirk and a pair of swim shorts, the 20-something model and singer introduced himself to the other Islanders with a bold statement:

“I’m tall, tanned, girls usually say I’ve got nice lips, and they like kissing them.
You might think that Love Island started already, but now that I’m here, it’s only just begun.”
Fans online were quick to react, with many UK viewers recognising him from his soap days and expressing surprise at the career pivot. One user on X wrote, “Did NOT expect to see Jed from Hollyoaks in the Love Island USA villa! What a switch-up.”
Charlie, who also works as a model and singer, seems to be embracing the reality TV lifestyle with ease, bringing both charm and cheeky confidence to the show. And with Love Island USA gaining a growing international audience, his appearance could mark the beginning of a much bigger chapter in his career.
Whether he finds love or just makes waves, one thing’s for sure, Charlie Georgio has officially entered the villa, and fans on both sides of the Atlantic are watching closely.
