TOWIE and Celebrity Big Brother star Ella Rae Wise has confirmed she has split from her on-off partner Dan Edgar, revealing that their relationship ended just a week ago. Speaking candidly in a new interview, Ella said the decision to walk away from the romance was a difficult one, but ultimately the right move for her.
In an emotional conversation with The Sun, the reality star made it clear that the end of their relationship had nothing to do with her recent signing for Celebrity Big Brother, despite speculation to the contrary.
“We are not together. And it’s really, really sad that we’re not together,” Ella said. “We split up a week ago. It has nothing to do with Big Brother. It was a decision that I had to make because I didn’t feel that we were getting things that we wanted out of each other.”
Ella, who has been a fan-favourite on The Only Way Is Essex, explained that while there was a strong physical connection between her and Dan, it simply wasn’t enough to sustain the relationship. “We can’t just be together because we have a great sex life,” she admitted. “We can be best friends, but if something’s missing, what are we wasting our time for?”
She went on to express a sense of acceptance, acknowledging that some differences between them were too big to overcome. “I just feel that he’s very set in his ways, and I can’t change someone and I can’t expect someone to change either,” she said. “And if he’s comfortable in how he is and if he thinks what he gives in a relationship is enough, that’s okay because that can be enough for someone. But it’s just not enough for me.”
The breakup marks another dramatic chapter in the love lives of TOWIE cast members, but Ella’s frankness is already earning her praise from fans who appreciate her honesty and self-respect.
As she prepares to take on the Celebrity Big Brother house, Ella seems determined to move forward with clarity and confidence. While she may be leaving Dan behind, she’s stepping into a new phase of her career, and possibly her life, with her head held high.
