Ellen DeGeneres has confirmed that she will be performing a series of intimate “in conversation with” events across the UK this autumn, offering audiences a chance to hear directly from one of the world’s most recognisable entertainers.
The beloved comedian and former daytime TV host will take to the stage in Reading, Milton Keynes, Bath, Bristol and Oxford throughout October and November. These appearances will mark a rare opportunity for UK fans to see Ellen live, just months after she quietly settled into a new life in the English countryside.
The upcoming shows follow on from a successful appearance in July, hosted by Richard Bacon, where Ellen discussed her decades-long career, her life in the public eye, and her recent move away from the US. Promoters describe the events as a chance to hear candid stories, reflections and anecdotes from Ellen’s remarkable journey in television, film and literature.
Ellen, who became a household name in the 1990s with her groundbreaking sitcom Ellen and later cemented her status as an entertainment powerhouse with The Ellen DeGeneres Show, remains one of the most influential voices in comedy. Over the years, she has interviewed some of the world’s biggest stars, delivered countless laugh-out-loud monologues, and championed charitable causes on a global stage.
Her relocation to the UK with wife Portia de Rossi, star of Arrested Development and Modern Family, made headlines last November. The couple swapped the sunshine of Montecito, California, for a quieter life in the Cotswolds, reportedly motivated by a desire for change following the political upheaval of Donald Trump’s re-election. Their move has placed Ellen within easy reach of the very cities where her upcoming shows will take place.

Fans attending these “in conversation with” evenings can expect a mix of humour, honesty, and heart, with Ellen reflecting on her decades in entertainment and her transition to life outside of the Hollywood spotlight. With her trademark wit, she will no doubt also share anecdotes from her time interviewing presidents, pop stars, and everyday people whose stories captured the world’s imagination.
The events are expected to attract a wide audience, particularly those who grew up watching Ellen’s rise to fame or tuned in daily to her long-running talk show, which concluded in 2022 after nearly 20 years on air.
Tickets are anticipated to sell quickly, as the opportunity to see Ellen live in such an intimate setting is a rarity. For fans of comedy, television history, or simply Ellen herself, these autumn shows may prove to be unmissable nights.
