In a bombshell testimony that has sent shockwaves through the entertainment world, rapper Kid Cudi has taken the stand against Sean “Diddy” Combs in an ongoing federal trial that includes allegations of sex trafficking, racketeering, and violent intimidation.
Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, testified on May 22 at Manhattan Federal Court as a prosecution witness, detailing a disturbing incident that allegedly occurred in December 2011. The rapper claims that Diddy broke into his Hollywood Hills home after discovering that Cudi had been romantically involved with Diddy’s then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
According to Cudi’s testimony, Ventura called him in a state of fear after reportedly revealing his address to Combs. “She sounded scared,” Cudi told the court, adding that Ventura asked him to come pick her up. Before he could arrive, Cudi said he was informed by a friend that Combs had entered his home uninvited.
“I said, ‘Motherf**ker, you in my house?’” Cudi recounted, describing his phone call to Combs. When he arrived at the property, Cudi claims Diddy was gone, but not without leaving a disturbing trail behind. Several wrapped Christmas gifts for Cudi’s family had been opened, and his dog had been locked in a bathroom.

Though no property was damaged and Cudi admitted under cross-examination by Combs’ lawyer, Brian Steel, that the front door had been left unlocked, the implication was clear: Diddy had crossed a serious line. The encounter was one of several alarming incidents Cudi described involving the hip-hop mogul.
In a chilling follow-up to the alleged break-in, Cudi also addressed the 2012 incident in which his car was set on fire. This incident was previously mentioned in a 2023 lawsuit filed by Cassie Ventura, in which she claimed that Diddy had made a threat to blow up Cudi’s vehicle as a warning.
“I met with him the next day in L.A.,” Cudi testified. “He told me he didn’t know what I was talking about. I believed he was lying.”
These revelations are just the latest to emerge from the high-profile case against Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The prosecution alleges that for two decades, Combs orchestrated drug-fuelled “freak off” sex parties involving coerced participants, including Ventura, who also took the stand earlier this month.
Ventura gave an emotional statement outside the courtroom on May 16: “This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me. I hope that my testimony has given strength and a voice to other survivors.”
As the case unfolds, the testimony of high-profile figures like Kid Cudi and Cassie Ventura adds damning weight to the prosecution’s claims, and further damages the public image of one of hip-hop’s most iconic and controversial figures.
