DOLLY PARTON BREAKS HER SILENCE: “I’M NOT DEAD YET!”

The beloved 78-year-old singer appeared radiant and upbeat as she filmed a new advert for the Grand Ole Opry, putting rumours about her condition firmly to rest. Dressed in a dazzling red fringed shirt and fitted black slacks, Dolly looked every inch the star as she smiled and joked with the production crew between takes.

In the video, the Jolene hitmaker playfully told fans, “I’m not dead yet!” — adding that while she’s been dealing with a few health issues, “they’re being handled just fine.” Her light-hearted comment came as a relief to millions of fans who had feared the worst following her sister Stella Parton’s recent message online.

Earlier in the week, Stella had asked for “prayers” for her famous sister, without offering further details, prompting a wave of speculation and worry across social media. Fans flooded the comments with messages of concern, asking for updates on the country star’s wellbeing.

However, Dolly’s UK manager Olly Rowland has now stepped in to clarify the situation, saying the whole thing has been blown “completely out of proportion.”

He explained: “It’s just kidney stones, and the procedure she needs to resolve those. It looks like her sister posted, and it got quite a bit blown out of proportion, weirdly.”

The clarification was met with an enormous sigh of relief from fans worldwide. Many had feared Dolly was seriously ill after the post went viral earlier in the week, with headlines speculating about her health and possible retirement.

Despite the rumours, Dolly has continued to work at her usual pace, filming promotional content and overseeing several music and media projects. Insiders say she’s also preparing new material for a special edition of her Rockstar album, as well as further collaborations with artists she admires.

A close friend of the star told US media, “Dolly’s the toughest person I know. She’s had a few health bumps over the years, but nothing keeps her down for long. If you know Dolly, you know she’s probably already planning her next big thing.”

Fans have been quick to praise her transparency and humour in addressing the situation. One commented, “Only Dolly could calm us all down by saying, ‘I’m not dead yet!’ with a smile on her face.” Another added, “She’s living legend status, we just can’t bear to think of a world without her.”

For now, it seems the Queen of Country is very much alive, well, and still sparkling with the same energy that made her a household name. As she told fans directly, “I’ve got a few more songs left in me, and a few more rhinestones, too.”
