Croatian singer Marko Perković, known by his stage name Thompson, is poised to make history this summer as he aims to break the world record for the most tickets ever sold to a single concert. The talented musician is scheduled to perform at the Hippodrome in Zagreb, Croatia, on July 5, 2025, and the demand for tickets has been nothing short of astounding.
According to recent reports, Thompson's upcoming concert has already sold a staggering 281,774 tickets, setting the stage for an extraordinary event. The show will be held at the sprawling Hippodrome venue, which spans an impressive 47 hectares, providing ample space for the massive crowd expected to attend. This will make it not only the biggest event ever held at the venue but also the largest single concert on record.
The Croatian artist’s record-breaking achievement will surpass the previous attendance record set by rock legends The Rolling Stones. In 1998, the band drew over 80,000 fans during their Bridges to Babylon tour, making it the largest concert at the Zagreb Hippodrome at that time.
Thompson’s monumental concert also looks set to eclipse the current global attendance record held by Italian musician Vasco Rossi. Rossi’s record was established in 2017, when he performed in front of 225,173 fans at his concert at Enzo Ferrari Park in Modena, Italy. If Thompson’s Zagreb performance goes as planned, he will become the artist with the most attended ticketed concert in the world, further solidifying his place in music history.
