Coldplay have once again proven they’re not just musical trailblazers, they’re environmental pioneers too. The iconic British band has announced they’re re-releasing their biggest albums… but with a game-changing twist.
The new editions of their records will be pressed on clear 140g EcoRecords , made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. That’s right, your favourite Coldplay vinyl’s are now part of the fight against climate change.
The revolutionary move comes as part of the band’s long-standing commitment to sustainability. Thanks to EcoRecords’ cutting-edge injection-moulding process, the manufacturing of each LP will produce up to 85% less CO₂ compared to traditional vinyl.
Here’s the full list of albums getting the eco-treatment:
All are now available to pre-order, with fans already racing to snap up these limited-edition reissues.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin previously said: “We’re trying to make everything we do as sustainable as possible. This is another step in the right direction.”
Fans have applauded the move, with comments flooding in like: “Saving the planet AND serving hits, Coldplay always gets it right.”
Coldplay’s environmental efforts have also extended to their live shows, with their Music of the Spheres tour featuring energy-generating dance floors and solar-powered stages.
This bold vinyl re-release shows that even music can make a difference, one track at a time.
