Talk about an awkward moment… The Chase star Mark Labbett, better known as “The Beast”, reportedly nodded off during a date on the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating.
Yes, really.
The towering quiz master, famous for his sharp intellect and quick wit on the ITV quiz show, found himself facing a very different kind of challenge, staying awake. According to an insider, Mark was paired up on a date that lacked chemistry, and well… his body did the talking.
“Mark was yawning a lot,” the source dished. “At one point he actually drifted off. It was brief, but it didn’t go unnoticed, especially with the cameras rolling.”
Needless to say, there was little romantic spark between Mark and his date, who was said to be “very understanding” but clearly not his perfect match. “She laughed it off, but it was a bit awkward,” the source added.

The moment is expected to air as part of the new season of Celebs Go Dating, which features a fresh lineup of love-seeking celebrities navigating awkward encounters, tearful confessions and, apparently, unexpected naps.
Mark, who has spoken openly in the past about his significant weight loss journey and health battles, has become something of a national treasure thanks to his honesty and humour. So, fans are already loving the idea of seeing him in such a relatable moment.
